Honeymoon: Day 7

Yes, this is pretty much as productive as today got :) 

Honeymoon: Day 5

At the Prom again today. Nice 'short' walk to Lilly Pilly Gully. Pretty and rainforest-y, with a creek at the end. Tiger snake on the path near my foot freaks me out at the start (it even hissed at me) and I continue the rest of the walk with a big stick. I like the grass trees everywhere. 

The mountain there is actually the one we climbed yesterday ;). 

Honeymoon: Day 4

First day at Wilsons Prom today. First is Squeaky Beach, where the view from the rocks is nice but I have issues getting up and down ;) 

Next is Mt Oberon. I don't know why it was so hard (4km I think), there were old people and schoolchildren up there too. I was such a wussy ;). Apparently you can get this amazing view, but we only had clouds when we got to the top :). It was pretty cool though. And Theo talks to these generator thingamy workers while I sit and recover at the bottom of the stairs lol.

Honeymoon: Day 1

Mostly travelled today. And admired our lovely honeymoon suite again (big brekkie and late checkout included LOL :))



And here's the spa in our cabin, including the view. We love it here :)

Testing venues & working hard

We went to take some photos of a wedding venue, to see what it all looked like from behind a camera :)

And this is the view of Theo's work, from his front porch (square thing in middle of picture). He rang me from work and told me to wave in his direction, as he was jumping round on top of the building. My mother in law to be and my little sister were also waving and we got his yellow Spongebob towel and waved it around as a sort of big yellow beacon. He was this little moving shape on the blop thing on top of the building. So we do get to see each other while he's working, after all.

  

A surprise proposal

Here's Powers Lookout, which we went to see after the Violet Town market, just us going on a lovely scenic drive....

And by the way, I've got a surprise picnic in the boot of the car....

And I won't just surprise you with a bunch of flowers, but I'll ask you to marry me. So he did. And I said I will :)

He couldn't wait any more until the 'real' ring is ready, so he bought me an in-between engagement ring, with two lovehearts and I think two diamonds in them. It's very sweet and big enough so I can wear it on my right hand when my 'real' ring comes :).

So the wedding planning is now on full steam ahead :)

Christmas Food & Festivities

This Christmas we have a tale of one gingerbread house, shortbreads starring bunnies with bling, a journey starring santa in an upside down dunny, two and a half christmas trees, much cooking and even more food, and two birthday cakes.

I have to add the cheesecake, fruit cake and mini mudcake christmas puddings to the cake tally, because we are still eating those. Can I count rumballs as cake too? Pudding? Pavlova? Trifle? Three fruit pies made with fruit stewed up from the christmas fruit and vegie market?

Family Christmases

Visited Dad before Christmas this year.

Entertaining school concert for my little bro & sis & two nephews. The ones on the floor are sheep and my nephew is on the left :).

 We also went to visit Theo's brother and sister in law in Ballarat & I was extremely nervous as I'd never met them. It was funny later that I'd even worried because the brother was just like Theo and his dad, and his wife was really nice and we had a fair bit in common. Silliness.

Hanging Rock

 

 This was one of our impulse Sunday activities. After church we went hey, why not go to Hanging Rock? So we did. I don't think I'd ever been there, Theo had. On the way there we stopped at another POW camp site at Graytown and on the way back we stopped at what I originally took for the world's largest ant hill, but was just a pile of diggings from some mine. Theo posed, I photographed. Memorable moments.

One thing I love to see when I'm driving (to the                   

extent that I'll change lanes to follow it more closely)         

is the little newborn calves travelling down the road            

in the back of some farmer's ute.

And this is neighbour Theo and I dismantling an old brick BBQ in his backyard. I severely bruised my thumb with the hammer.
